Message from The Dean - Dr John Momanyi
Welcome to Bomet University College School of Education, our vision is to foster research and excellence in Science, Technology and Innovation for sustainability by training professional teachers, mentors and researchers for social transformation and advancement of humanity.
The School endeavours to contribute to the development of the Kenyan education sector by training teachers who are able to use innovative pedagogies and technologies to enhance their teaching capacity. The school hopes to increase the number of registered students in various education programmes. The school is in the process of recruiting highly qualified and experienced academic staff and support staff to run the programmes.
Once again welcome and join us in using education to advance humanity.
Bomet School of Education
The School of Education (SOE) has been in the existence in this University since 2016. The school started with 130 students who were transfered from Moi University. It was established to provide quality Teacher Education programmes with focus on preparation and production of school teachers who are progressive in their perspective towards the instructional process and values professional development. The programme is also infusing elements of competence based curriculum in various courses. Currently, there are two degree programmes offered namely Bachelor of Education (Arts), and Bachelor of Education (Business Studies). The following subject combinations are offered: English/Literature, Geography/Business Studies, Geography/Religion, History/Religion, Kiswahili/Geography, Kiswahili/History, Kiswahili/Religion, Mathematics/ Business Studies, Mathematics/Geography
The present population of the students in the School of Education is two hundred and seventy seven who include the Government sponsored (GSSP) and Self-sponsored (PSSP). All the students are based in Bomet.

Duration of the Course
The programme will take a minimum of four (4) academic years (two semesters each) except for those who join under the conditions specified in the Admission Requirements.
