Dr. Phillip Bii is the Dean, School of Business and Entrepreneurship, Bomet University College. He holds a PhD in Business Management (Strategic Management), Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Moi University. His research interest is on leadership and Emotional Intelligence. He is a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management and has a lot of experience years in both Academic and Corporate World. He is an Associate Member of African Academic of Management and Kenya Institute of Management.

Dr. Richard Rotich is the Chairman of the Department of Management Science. He holds a PhD in Business management (Strategic Management) from Moi University, Kenya; Master of Business Administration from Kenyatta University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from Egerton University. His research interest is in field of Human Resource capabilities, Employee retention, Work arrangements, Organizational competitiveness and Quality of work life; He is an associate member KIM and a member IHRM; also, a career motivational speaker. He is a lecturer in the field of management science and has authored and published papers in referred journals. In 2017, he attended a six weeks Strategic Leadership Development Program (SLDP) training at the Kenya School of Government. He has a wide range of experience in teaching, training and management both in public and private sectors.

Dr. C.G. Nkaabu is a Lecturer in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Bomet University College. He is a holder of PhD in Business Management (Marketing Option) from Moi University. He has extensive experience in teaching, research and supervision of post graduate students. He has held positions of Campus Director and Senior Assistant Registrar in his previous appointments. Dr.C.G. Nkaabu has consulted for various corporations in the areas of rebranding, product development, customer satisfaction surveys, attitude change, customer service and strategy development. He is a seasoned trainer and a motivational speaker. He has mentored and continues to mentor many students. His research interests are in the areas of branding, consumer behaviour, knowledge management and entrepreneurship. Notably, he has authored numerous papers in peer reviewed journals. He is a member of the Marketing Society of Kenya and Marketing Science Institute. Dr. Nkaabu´s personal creed is “Always Glad to Serve”.

Patrick Ojera Pic July 2020 No21Prof. Patrick Boniface Ojera teaches accounting, finance, auditing, taxation and management with a rich flavor of industry experience, focusing on current trends and issues. He is passionate about developing contemporary ethical financial and general management professionals.
A Certified Public Accountant of Kenya, CPA (K), Prof. Patrick Boniface Ojera joined Bomet University College as Associate Professor, Finance and Accounting, in October 2020. Before joining Bomet University College Patrick Ojera was Executive Dean, School of Business and Economics and Senior Lecturer, Department of Accounting and Finance at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. He also held the position of Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration and Finance at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. He previously held positions of Head of Department, Dean (Founder), School of Business and Economics and Senior Lecturer, Department of Accounting and Finance at Maseno University. Prof. Ojera previously worked in government as auditor, in industry as cost accountant and rose to Head of Finance in telecommunication industry. He was also Head of Finance and rose to position of Acting Chief Executive in a sugar manufacturing company. He has extensive experience in top management in industry and academic administration; focusing on financial, strategic and general management.
He has co-authored a university level accounting book and has over 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals. Prof. Ojera was “Winner of the 2019 Emerald Literati Award for Outstanding Author Contribution for Book Chapter 'Indigenous Financial Management Practices in Africa: A Guide for Educators and Practitioners” published in Advanced Series in Management, Volume 20, 71-96, Copyright @ 2018 by Emerald Publishing Limited. In addition Prof. Ojera has supervised over 60 postgraduate students to completion.

citationsDr. Johnmark Obura is a Senior Lecturer, Department of Accounting and Finance in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship, Bomet University College. He Holds a PhD in Business Administration (Finance) from Maseno University, Master of Business Administration (Finance), Master of Science in Applied Statistics and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science; all from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. His research interests are in Quantitative Finance, Quantitative Analysis, Business Statistics and Research as well as Business Information Systems. He is a member Kenya National Statistical Society (KNSS) and Kenya National Quality Institute (KNQI). He has previously served as a Chairman of Department of Management Science at Maseno University for over five years. BUC PROFILE PHOTODr. Wafula Olanga, is a Lecturer and examination coordinator Department of Accounting and Finance in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship, Bomet University College. He holds a PhD degree in Finance from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Dr. Wafula has extensive experience in Empirical Finance and Financial Risk Management in both Corporate and academic world. Dr. Wafula previously served as Lecturer in a number of Universities where he was involved in a number of departmental committees and reviewed academic programs in Accounting and Finance. He is a member of Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analyst (ICIFA), Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and an associate member of Kenya Institute of Management.
Dr. Wafula has extensive experience in research and has authored and published numerous peer reviewed academic articles in refereed journals besides presenting numerous papers in conferences. He has supervised PhD Theses, MSc, and MBA Dissertations in both public and private universities with a bias in Finance. Dr. Wafula’s areas of interest include: Derivatives and Risk Management, Behavioral Finance, Theory of Finance, Public Finance, Corporate Finance and Investment.

FB IMG 1626593248880Dr. Sangurah Ramari Mukhebi Robbert is a Lecturer of Entrepreneurship in the School of Business & Entrepreneurship. He holds an earned Ph.D in Entrepreneurship Development (Policy) and an MSc. Entrepreneurship Studies, both from Moi University and a B.Ed Arts (Economics / Geography) Degree from Maseno University. He is a Certified Enterprise Development Agent by the UNDP-K and full member of the Kenya Institute of Management. He is an author and publisher in Entrepreneurship Development and Niche Entrepreneurship Policy. He currently coordinates Examinations in the Department of Management Science and Entrepreneurship, Post Graduate Programs and Research in the School of Business & Entrepreneurship.

Ms. Nelly Mutai holds a master’s in Business Administration (Finance Option) from Kenyatta University and Bachelor of Business Management from Moi University. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration (Finance option) at Kabarak University. Currently, she is serving as a Tutorial Fellow in the Finance and Accounting Department and the Examination Coordinator in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship. Ms. Mutai has a far and wide experience in lecturing and consultancy in financial management. Her interest in research is on emerging trends in Business and specifically in Banking and Finance. She also has passion in community outreach activities and mentorship programmes.

Dr. Biwott Geoffrey holds a Master of Philosophy in Business Management (MBM) and a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) both from Moi University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Management at Moi University while serving as a Tutorial Fellow in the Department of Management Science, Bomet University College. Mr. Biwott has a wealth of experience lecturing in Business Management and Human resource Management in the areas of Management, General Management, Global Business Management, Human resource Management and Labour laws. He also doubles up as Timetable Coordinator for the School of Business and Entrepreneurship.

Mr. Amos Chepsergon is a holder of Masters of Philosophy in Business Management (Strategic Management Option) and a Bachelor of Business Management both from Moi University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Management at Moi University while serving as a Tutorial Fellow in Bomet University College, School of Business and Entrepreneurship, Department of Management Science. Amos has diverse skills and experience in lecturing Business Management and Strategic Management areas.

Ms Jemutai holds a Masters of Business Management (Finance Option) and a Bachelor of Business Management (Finance option) both from Moi University. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Management (Finance option) from Moi University. Her research interest is on Financial Literacy, Investment Decisions and Capital Structure. Ms Leah is serving as a Tutorial Fellow in the Department of Finance and Accounting and has six years in teaching and research. Miss Jemutai is a Mentor, Patron Christian Union (CU) and the Coordinator, School Choir. Currently, She is the School of Business and Entrepreneurship Industrial Attachment Coordinator.

Justine

Mr Justine Mabati holds a Master of Business Administration (Accounting & Finance) and a Bachelor of Education Arts (Accounting Major) both from University of Nairobi. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration at Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT). Justine is also a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K). He is currently serving as a Tutorial Fellow in the Department of Finance and Accounting. Justine has a wealth of experience in Academic and Corporate world in the areas of Taxation, Financial Accounting, Auditing and Financial Management. He is a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Justine doubles up as the Coordinator for trips in School of Business and Entrepreneurship (SBE) in Bomet University College.

Mr. George Mugo holds a Master of Business Administration (Strategic Management) from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting option) from Egerton University. George is also a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) and an Associate Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He is currently the Administrative Assistant in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship. In his capacity as a Professional and a Christian, George has mentored and continues to mentor Students, Youths and Budding Professionals. His 15 years experience in both private and public sectors ranges from consultancy in internal auditing, external auditing, conveyancing, business and strategic management.
