The mandate of the School of Pure and Applied Sciences (SPAS) is to teach, train, mentor and research on novel and green technologies - that address the needs of humanity and other life forms, while preserving our planet.
These technologies include – but are not limited to - renewable and cyclic systems that ensure the efficient and sustainable utilization of resources. The school is committed to excellence in teaching and training, and has the requisite capacity and wherewithal to effectively deliver on this commitment. The school endeavors to provide an enabling environment for creativity, critical thinking and cutting edge research, all geared towards advancement and application of scientific knowledge for socio-economic transformation. Moreover, the school further endeavors to conduct community outreach and engagement for advancement of humanity. Ultimately, we seek to produce job creators rather than job seekers, graduates who can eke out opportunities from ‘waste’, innovators who are well versed with the principles and practice of circular economic systems.
