Dr. Ishenyi is a Kenyan and a practicing Christian (Catholic). He is currently a lecturer of pedagogy and Education Management at Bomet University College and the current Head of Department, Curriculum Instruction & Management in the School of Education since January 2022. Before then, he was the Coordinator of the same department from May 2021 to January 2022. Also, he was the Chairman, School Graduate Studies Committee (SGSC) from May 2021 to June 2022. He is a member of Bomet University College Teaching Practice Management Committee. Before joining Bomet University as lecturer, he served as an Assistant Lecturer at Mt. Kenya University, Kibabii University and Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology. Before then, he was a Secondary School Teacher of Mathematics/Economics and Principal appointed by Teachers Service Commission (TSC), Kenya. He has specialised in Mathematics Education. He is a supervisor of post graduate students. He has published substantively in refereed journals and published a book Teacher Trainees Perception towards Computer Use in Math Instruction with Lap Lambert- Germany. He has attended and presented research papers in several local as well as international conferences. His Research interests include: Classroom Discourse, Instructional Technology, Teacher Knowledge Domains, General Pedagogy, Educational Management, among others. He is a member of Kenya Association of Educational Administration and Management (KAEAM) since the year 2014.
